This beer is hazy pink, very much like grapefruit juice. The one-inch tight foam is light pink as well. The head crackles as it quickly settles within a couple of minutes, leaving trace amounts of lace on a PBGC spun glass pint.
Strawberry is quite clear in the aroma and it quickly augmented by light, earthy funkiness. Warmth draws out aromas of melons. There is also a sweet aroma, similar to Jolly Rancher candy.
The sour/tartness is nice, mild, and balanced against sweetness. Strawberries are subtle and very well done. The background has lemon tea flavors. A short, mild finish has lingering tartness after the fruit flavors fade. Warmth adds peaches.
A medium body with soft angora texture. Alcohol is well below expectation and the carbonation is fine and light.
This is a super enjoyable mild/sour fruit beer. I enjoyed it after work on mid-spring day. I imagine this would be exquisite at a Sunday afternoon picnic in the park.
