16oz can served in a little plastic BA glass. No date. Bought it a couple days ago at Chuck's Hop Shop Seward Park. My can says 8% abv.
Black, thick, opaque. Small dense head rises and falls, leaves a ring and a dusting. Smell is coffee and caramel, actually. Some anise or dark chocolate.
Taste is coffee, but very sweetened. Anise is there but lighter. Tiny bit of a cola flavor.
Mouthfeel is thick and chewy. Overall, really good. Surprised the sweetness is so powerful but balances so well with the rest of the beer.

Quite nice. Underneath the coffee and vanilla, which hit the nose and palate first, there's a really good stout here. The adjuncts are like an ideal guest: they make their presence felt, add something good, but do not, in the end, overstay their welcome.
