A blend of 20 month old Imperial Stout from Weller Barrels and young decadent Imperial Stout
Vanilla, with a touch of Hazelnut and Cinnamon
This blend was conditioned on eight pounds of Tahitian and Ugandan Vanilla beans, Hazelnuts, and a touch of cinnamon. Aromas and flavors of waffle cones, cinnamon toasted almonds, subtle balaton cherry cobbler, and caramel.

No bottling date (released on 12/11/2020, so presumably bottled within a few days of that date); consumed on 8/23/2022
Pours a slick, inky black body topped with a finger of fluffy, pale mocha foam; decent head retention leaves a craggy half-finger of cap, moderate, creamy collar, and no lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens to soft vanilla undertones building to a rich hazelnut creme and distant roast backing, a decadence cut with mild barrel, residual oak, and lush waves of toasty milk chocolate.
Taste brings chocolate and boozy roast upfront as a subtler hazelnut imbuement over the mid-palate builds alongside tinges of cinnamon peeking steadily through the back end; residual vanilla is marked with amplified hazelnut sweetness and a choppy, bourbon oak influence.
Mouthfeel shows a body on the lighter end of medium sporting a moderate, taut fluff of carbonation leading into silky textures contrasting a soft char through the mid-palate and a building roast coating the back end.
The blend trends choppy as bolder hazelnut washes over more glaring inconsistencies for a sweeter conglomerate of adjuncts playing with a flighty barrel influence; a solid overall though passively composite overall presentation.

Served in 6oz stemmed wineglass. Poured a solid black color with just a thin cap of tan head that low retention, almost immediately dissipated, and no lacing.
The aroma had the expected solid, roasty malt notes as a base. Upfront was a strong coconut scent, even though there's no coconut in the beer. There were also the wood and bourbon aromas common for a barrel-aged beer.
Same on the tongue, with some spice showing up, but the coconut still was dominant.
The body was fairly typical for the style, maybe just a touch thinner than average, smooth, carried some heat, and had a lightly sweet finish.
Drinkability was good, but at 12+% probably wouldn't want more than a couple small pours in a row.
Overall, a very nice brew. A must try if you see it.

Phenomenal, just like blend 3 and feral bones, theyre honing their BA stouts.
Pours jet black, dark tan head.
Hazelnut steals the show, with a slight twinge of cinnamon, vanilla/toffee linger on the nose.
Palate is well balanced, with hazelnut showing up as the front man, but not intrusive. Very rich, decadent. Vanilla and cinnamon play their part but they dont mask the base stout or barrel character.
Mouthfeel is viscous, very thick, but not syrupy. Very cool feeling.
Overall sublime. Outside of bba stouts I've had from Anchorage, this is tops. Can't wait for the 10 year.
