I couldn't be luckier to work next door from here! However because I fear running out of $/contracting diabetes, I don't come here every night after work lol. Food portions may be a bit small but the fare is always delicious, consistent and on-point. The beer variety is on-point as far as draft although a lot of popular/highly-sought after beers have been known to kick fast. I have constructed many a "dream flight" at this spot since there are very few limitations on which draft beers you can add to it. Once I lose 30 lbs and pay down some debt I'll certainly be in more often/a few times a month at least.

This was one of my stops on my most recent visit to Boston.

As you enter, there is seating off to your right and the long bar is on your left. There is another dining area in the back.

This is a nice place. Windows in the front to let in some natural light, lots of wood, old beer posters, trays, etc. No TVs, so go for conversation not to catch the game.

I sat at the bar and received very good service. The bartender (and waitress that joined our conversation) were friendly and well versed their offerings.

They have a great rotating draft list and also offer two cask beers, a mead and some cider. Being from the Midwest it was great to drink some beers I can’t get around me. All the beers were fresh and I’m guessing that is due to the fast turn over.

The lunch menu was limited but I liked my meatball sub. Dinner menu looks a bit more varied.

I would have no problem going back for another visit!

There are a lot of beers offered, but for the most part, I was unimpressed. Some nice places to sit down, but this has more of the vibe of a family restaurant where the father of the family doesn't feel like having a Budweiser, the mother wants a glass of wine and the kids want some above average chicken fingers...

Having been to the Gingerman in NYC before I was unimpressed when i walked in and the bar felt more like a high end hotel bar and was lacking in any soul at all. I guess they are trying to blend in to the financial district that they are in. While they do have a lot of taps I didn’t see anything particularly interesting or unusual except for a couple of sours. I was going to get a cask beer but $8.50 for a 4% beer and a 13 ounce pour was simply ridiculous. That was the entry point for pricing and it went up from there - small and pricy pours. We quickly left after one drink to more a more relaxed and approachable place. To be fair that staff was pleasant but on this rainy summer day there were only a few people in the bar.

A lovely place and a much needed addition to the downtown area. It is mostly bar but you should have no trouble finding a seat. A nice mix of locals and tourists so you can feel safe hanging out with your brother or your wife here. Excellent selection of beers from the obscure (Jack's Abby Springdale) to the familiar (Uinta). Great draft and bottle selection. Really enjoyed my chili dog and look forward to trying a few other menu items. Very friendly barkeeps. Very solid for the newbie and the experienced.

I had been to The Ginger Man in New York, so I had to go here as well.

This is a pub, so the interior is cozy, long bar and lots of booths. All kinds of people, from young and loud to old and cranky. And me, tired and jet lagged, but happy.

The quality and selection of beers is ridiculous. 70+ taps, and very few of those weren't at least interesting.

Service was quick and friendly, talked to a guy with a beard and a ballcap (Taylor?), who was great. Gave recommendations and was an all round good dude.

Food was very good, had the grilled cheese wit poutine fries. As with everywhere in the States, a LOT of food, but very good.

Overall, a really great place that I would be very happy to visit again.

Stopped in while in town for EBF. Huge bar that runs the length of the room. The seating is tables that are almost little "snugs", or cubbies, so if you are there with a group you can sit together and have some privacy. Staff is very friendly and has great knowledge of beer and what the kitchen is serving. Tons of taps, and they will do flights of anything that is on. I had a flight that was Lawson's Sip of Sunshine, Funky Buddha Nib Smuggler, Magnify Peak Oil, and 2SP Bean N'Gone. The beer list had almost anything you could want, including some harder to find beers. We only ordered appetizers but everything was really good. Our waiter even hooked us up with some items that weren't on the menu, including a pickled veggie plate (all made in house by the chef). Overall I really enjoyed The Ginger Man and even made a second stop into the bar later on that day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is into craft beer.

Solid place all around and the most comprehensive selection of craft beers the downtown area has ever had. I happen to live and work about 5 blocks from here so its nice and convenient for me too. The hours have changed a little since the Summer started as it is no longer open for lunch on weekdays. I believe it doesn't open until 1 pm on weekends either.

The decor is about 10 times nicer than it was when it was the Stadium and Mc Faddens and let's hope it ultimately lasts a lot longer than those two places did. Nice hard woods, wide open and very clean with great air-conditioning too. There are a bunch of things I really like about Ginger Man such as: the fabulous selection that rotates pretty well. The attention to detail on cleanliness of tap lines and the free of soap residue glassware. The fact that it doesn't seem to get the obnoxious bar crawl crowds or big groups of clueless tourists that seem to be so prevalent around downtown on weekends and the lack of lousy cover bands playing the same old songs that they all play around here every single day of the week.

The staff are very pleasant and really know their beers pretty well. I have had the food a few times and it is pretty solid too. I like this one even better than the Manhattan location. I hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag-- as while I very much want this place to succeed , I like the fact that it isn't a mob scene most of the times I have tried to stop by. Also. the pricing on the beers can be a tad high--kind of to be expected for good quality but I did think $12.50 for the Freshy salt & pepper and the Hitachinos nest one I had was a little much.

This establishment is mostly bar. There is a small back room with tables. I'm impressed that there is one TV in here, but it is not on, meaning they rely on their menu to draw people in. With 200+ beers and no macros, this is a beer lovers locale.

For food, I ordered a roast beef sandwich which I thought was a solid step up from the usual bar fare. Other meals seemed to be equally well thought out.

I'm noting my usual resistance to chains, but I think an exception is well deserved here. Interesting beer with excellent food. I should also mention the prices are decent (for Boston).

Great tap list and excellent group of bottles to select from. The waiter was knowledgeable and had a reasonable amount of beer knowledge. The food menu had a decent and varied selection of "upscale" pub style food. I had a burger and it was excellent. The place was kind of loud, but I was there on a Saturday night, so can't complain. We walked in, grabbed a table, and were waited on quickly.

Just what downtown Boston needed! A great beer bar with plenty of space. A very welcome addition to the city. It has great ambiance, with a long bar greeting you as you walk in, with subdued lighting and great seating areas. I went in during the day and there was a lot of natural light coming in with windows in the front and back, which is definitely a plus for me. Everything is brand new, but it has a comfy feel like it's been there for years. The beer list is extensive and well curated with a good balance of styles and origins. There is also a good focus on local, New England beers, which I like. There is also a downstairs area, but I didn't have the chance to take a look.
