16oz can. Date stamp on bottom is '#JERRY 06/07/22'.
Slight haze, straw colored body. Two fingers of white head which retreats to a thin cap and high ring. Leaves behind some horizontal lacing patterns.
Aroma is toasted malts with a touch of citrus.
Taste is sweet white bread dough, and brighter citrus hops with a bit of bitterness (which does not linger). Could there be a touch of oak as the tongue dries out?
Medium mouth feel. Clean and crisp finish. Good carbonation.
Has this faded with two years in the can? Avoids the cardboard, but the expressions are low key.

16 oz can.
Pours a cloudy straw color with a large sudsy white head. Good retention, leaves some splotchy lacing.
Aromas of cereal grains, bread, grass, and lemon zest. Very earthy.
The flavor brings notes of cereal grains, sweet dough, citrus, and faint white grape.
The feel is light bodied with good carbonation. Crisp and dry.
Overall, a pretty good helles lager. Could definitely use a bit more hop character and the oak is barely noticeable, but it's easy to drink and has a nice, clean flavor.

Pint
Look: Yellow-Gold, pouring a white, half finger head which dissipated into a moderate ring and lacing.
Smell: First I get is some toasted wheat cereal, then some citrus zest, and then some oaky tannins.
Taste: Bright citrus notes which fades into malty notes, some astringent wheat notes mixed in though, which then molds into oaky tannins with a smooth wheat malt finish. Low bitterness which comes in right after the swallow.
Feel: Smooth, moderate mouthfeel. Not very crisp but it is silky. Moderate carbonation.
Overall: Its alright. I can definitely notice the oak aging influences, while not strong, they are there.

16oz tallboy can. canned 5/2/22. poured into Golfinger dimpled mug.
Appearance: Pale yellow bodied pilsner with a bone white head. Dense head drops down and leaves sticky lacing everywhere. Head had good staying power as well.
Smell: doughy pilsner malts. not getting a hint of oak at all.
Taste: light doughy sweetness. Oak note is light as well. Decent lager yeast presence. Lightly bitter floral and fruity hops in the finish. Everything is very well balanced, but the malt and yeast are the strongest flavors in this Helles.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied lager in the best possible way. moderate carbonation levels. Soft textured body. This finish is really clean. crazy awesome mouthfeel of this beer.
Overall: First beer from this brewery. These guys brew really nice Helles lager and bonus points for resting the beer in oak for a short while, but I wish that more of the wood cold have come through in the Helles. Luckily, this Helles is already pretty well made, so the fact that the oak isn't bigger is an ok situation here.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light golden color with a moderate white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)
Aroma: Mild aromas of bread malt, earthy German malt. Some cereal and earthy notes. (3.75)
Flavor: Moderate falvors of pale malts, cracker malt, earthy German bread malt. Hints of woodsdy notes. Moderate yeast and full, bready mouthfeel off the end. Balanced. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. A full mouthfeel. The yeast and woodsy note clean the palate. (4.25)
Compared to Utepils Helles 5/30/22: Pours a lighter color, similar aromas. Lighter. More clean pale malt and carbonation. Less Munich malt and earthy honey. Dryer and cleaner. Winner: Utepils.
Overall: A very nice helles here. Drinks almost indistinguishable from a normal helles. The oak only gives it a slight earthier note. But that's not how I would describe this one. It's more like a light and clean helles. A nice and clean mouthfeel, but otherwise, pretty standard. Probably wouldn't seek out for the $3.99 price tag per piece. (Rating: 4.8%)

Can. White head with lace. Clear golden color.
Really good, but doesn’t have the zip that some of their other lagers have. Earthy, biscuity, soft, touch of melon, grassy. Very smooth. Light, fluffy. Cushions is a great name for this one.
____
On tap 6/22. I think I like this better on tap. Crisper and cleaner. A bit of the oak shows. Very solid helles. 4.25.
