Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium orange/golden color with a massive off white head. SRM of 13. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of brown bread, caramel, light oak and floral notes. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of brown bread, caramel, slightly earthy and oakey. Some floral notes off the finish. (4.00)
Feel: Light to medium bodied, decent carbonation. A clean mouthfeel. (3.75)
Compared to Portage As Old As Time 4/2023: Pours lighter, milder aromas. More caramel, brown bread. Less oak, wood, buttery bread. Lighter and cleaner.
Compared to Drekker Suggin on Chili Dogs 4/2023: Pours darker, stronger head. More oak and caramel. Less earthy honey. Darker, but lighter and more complex flavors.
Overall: Another good one from Modist. Smooth flavors of brown bread and caramel with a light earthy and okay presence that is mild. The oak hides a bit back in the flavor and this one drinks dry and clean. (Rating: 4.04)
