Appearance: Pours a comletely clear, light pale yellow color iwth a strong white head. SRM of 5. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of pale pelts, smooth, rice, and corn, somewhat earthy and smooth finish. (3.75)
Flavor: Flavors of pale malts, rice, hints of sake, some earthy, white bread and biscuit notes follow off the end. Smooth. Mildly sweet. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to heavier body, appropriate carbonation, finishes with a bready smoothness. (4.00)
Compared to Modist Amongst The Madness 4/2024: Pours clearer, milder head. Stronger aromas. More white bread, rice, sake. Less yeast, tart and funk. Smooth and sweeter.
Overall: Admittedly not my favorite style of lager. It's bigger at 6%. Actually has some nice rice and sake flavors. White bread and biscuit notes linger and it's slightly sweet. Drinks smooth. I enjoyed this more than I expected. (Rating: 3.93+)
