A - Pours out a dark brown body, mostly opaque, with just a hint of transparency at the edge, and some translucence throughout, with red highlights. Light tan head, fading to a definite cap, and extensive thin line lacing.
S - A strong hit of sweet malt goodness, with baked bread out front, and soft chocolate and toast notes beneath.
T - Follows the nose, the brew presents caramel and dark bread notes, a bit of grass and spice, and a definite bite of bitterness and toast from the thoroughly toasted malts.
M - Moderate weight and decent carbonation, with a dry enough finish to keep things moving nicely.
O - A well-built dark lager. The experience does remind me a bit of a charred marshmallow, but within a clear malty context.
