16 ounce can, GIDDY UP 03/01/24 stamped on the bottom of the can so I'm assuming that's the canned on date. Big thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a Teku glass, the beer pours a somewhat hazy reddish/copper color with about an inch light tan head that stayed around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like rye/bready malt, oak, caramel and some herbal hops. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some nutty flavors too. It's sweeter tasting but has a nice spicy rye kick too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick, smooth and easy enough to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, certainly worth picking up if you come across some!

From a 16oz can:
Appearance: Dark amber, good head.
Smell: Dark rye bread, toast, hint of wood.
Taste: Rye spice, dark bread kick in from the start. Spiciness continues along with a little bit of grass. Medium feel, pretty high carbonation.
Overall: This was on discount for $8 for a 4 pack and I am intrigued by rye beers, so an easy pickup. Good rye spiciness, balanced flavor. Good stuff!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent ESB pours a meidum dark
mahogany with a fantastic head of khaki foam that lingers long with a fat
layer and excellent lacing. Nose of faint oak, subtle rye, subtle honey
sweet malts, and herbal hops. Flavors nail it for the style with toasted malts,
light oak, spicy rye, and herbal hops dashed with a fine hint of caramel.
Mouth feel is smooth, rich, lightly cream, medium light carbonation, and a
balanced hop to malt finish that is lightly dry.
Overall----exceptional!
Cheers!

These guys have been hitting it out of the park, lately, and this one continues the trend. I love English-style bitters, ESBs, etc., but it's hard to find American versions that really make the style sing -- this one does. From a 16 oz can into my La Fin du Monde tulip, looks amazing, dense and cloudy, color is between chestnut and umber, and there's a thick and creamy 1 finger of khaki head with great retention and lacing. Nose is dry grain, rye, cereal and just a light hint of some kind of earthiness and sulfur. Taste continues the nose but kicks everything up quite a bit, so it's all very pronounced. Also a little hint of citrusy zing at the edges, and a lot more woody and nutty malt, to go with all the grainy and bready malts I get on the nose -- so good. Finishes very dry. Body is really full and almost thick, but not heavy. Glad I resisted the always tempting urge to buy ipas, and took a flyer on a 4 pack of this. Would be so interesting to try this on cask.

16 oz can canned 3/4/24 into a nonic glass.
L: SRM 13 Pours a chill-hazed rusty red color with a slightly creamy 1" very light tan head, good fine steady carbonation, VG head retention then down to thick edge foam, medium-thick lacing with semi-thick sheeting that has random holes.
S: Toasted cereal grains, quite malty.
T: Toasted cereal grains, toasty malts, zesty grapefruit bitterness, rye, a distant nutty wood note, and it is pale. Has a long zesty rye cereal grain linger & aftertaste.
F: Lightly crisp, smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel with a medium-length moderately drying finish.
O: Extremely tasty, zesty, toasty, and lightly dry. The rye fits inside of the cereal grain notes. It is very well balanced in flavor. I look forward to more of this solo or paired with foods. It's one of the best offerings I've had from this brewery.
