The best beer I've had from New District. Crisp, earthy and refreshing with just a hint of delicate light spices. Not terrible or soapy.
New District has A LOT of misses, but this base beer has the most potential. New District should expand the brand of this base beer with variants off this recipe. I'd like to see more saisons from New District and less of pretty much everything else. The saison style is one style that not a lot of local breweries specialize in (minus Stillwater and a dabbling from everyone else); and saisons are generally underrepresented on the local shelves. And for anyone who thinks saisons are not glamorous enough (as opposed to IPAs or stouts), breweries like Hill Farmstead rose to prominence with a specialization in saisons.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
