In keeping with the seasons we brewed this beer to welcome a change in the weather. It's spring right? This beer was brewed with a mix of rye and pilsner malt to help accentuate the large late additions of crystallized ginger and lemon zest and juice. With notes of lemon, white peppercorns, flowers and hay we think this is the perfect beer to transition us into the spring season.

Growlette to tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking semi-pale burnt yellow to orange color with a sly transparency about it. Some carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Just a cap of a little white foamy head that slid off at a mild pace. Not much lace.
The aroma had some slight ginger spice that seemed to meld with a little bit of citrusy zesty to sweet quality and then some grassy hop additions and a touch of rye with a little bit of wheat rounding it all out.
The flavor was moderately sweet but seemed to pull in that spice and zest of the ginger, citrus and rye all colliding into each other nicely. Aftertaste was the ginger with the citrus snapping into the rye in a slight spicy sort of way.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected by the brewer. Finish was somewhat spicy kicking in that citrus zest in a nice way.
Overall, pretty nice saison to me in a Good Measure sort of way. I'd have again.
