2017 bottle.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a beautiful ruddy golden yellow color with a thin top of white foamy head (really looked like a thin sheet). Some filmy lace ran with the sips.
The aroma had a brisk champagne-white grapey-grassy funk to hay and floral mineral water with some woody/rustic maple barrel to leafy earth rounding out the corners.
The flavor took all of those prior mentioned aromas without the maple and blended wonderfully into each other's sweet and semi-tart qualities. Woody and champagne/white grapey aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality about it. Plenty of dryness invading with some grassy edges punching at some woodiness. Finishes crisp with some lemon, champagne dryness, white grapes, grassy hops and some tart edges.
Overall, I'd say a very nicely done Belgian grissette well worthy of coming back to and well worthy of having again with its respected food.
