Appearance: Arrives with the murky goldenstraw look capped by the full three fingers; excellent stickage and lacing
Smell: Tropical tones of mango, guava and pineapple, with a citrusy, orange cast
Taste: Very juicy from the outset, with the mango, pineapple and guava in the forefront; orange juice tones, through the middle with a juicy finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: The best of the bunch from my evening at Narrow Gauge; a top flight example of the style

32 fl oz Narrow Gauge crowler.
poured into HF wine stem.
Appearance: Opaque golden yellow body; extremely hazy. Three finger of bone white head. Head has good staying power. Lots of staying power. Thick lacing left on the side of the glass.
Smell: Orange juice plus tropical fruits(mango, papaya, guauva, pineapple)! Hint of dank hops.
Taste: Minimal bitterness, but tons of juicy hops. Again just as the aroma is expressed this beer its loaded with citrus and tropical fruits. Extremely orangey. Lots of mango and guava. This is really fantastic.
Mouthfeel: medium body with moderate carbonation. Drinks really easily.
Overall: Well this might be one of the best expressions of a beer exclusively hopped with Citra. Narrow Gauge is a brewery that continually makes some of the best hoppy beers in my beer region. They are equal in quality with Pulpit Rock, Trillium, Hill Farmstead, and Treehouse as far as hazy hoppy "hypemonster" beers go. I don't usually like to follow beer trends like this hazy hop craze, but Narrow Gauge has this dialed in as good as the originals brewers from the east coast. I haven't had a hoppy beer from Narrow Gauge that wasn't world class. Another reason why St Louis is a serious beer destination in the Midwest/Great Lakes beer region.

The color is yellowish, but it is so cloudy that there's almost a light brown accent. There's a quarter inch of dishwater white on top. The aroma is pungent citrus and orange and it's amazing. I'm tasting orange juice in the front of the palate and then it gives way to just enough light malt to keep from overwhelming me. The mouth is comprised of a deep and long lasting burn to the tongue from all of the hops.

Poured into a pint glass at the source. Hazy/turbid golden color with a modest white head. Huge citrus aroma with herbal dank ton a and fruity berry notes. The taste followed with a bright juicy citrus theme. Nice balance with floral and some dank notes along with a bready malt base. Dry clean finish with a relatively soft feel. Really nice.
