Poured from a 16oz can into a Waterford IPA glass. Pours a slightly foggy golden orange with a firm two fingers of white foam head. Aromas of pine and citrus. A little bit of melon. Taste follows but not nearly with the intensity of the nose. It tastes really good it just doesn’t pop like you would expect after the aromas it gives off. Medium-full mouthfeel. Closer to full than medium. I’ve been a bit spoiled recently on some extremely good west coast IPAs so perhaps that’s playing into it because I’m willing to bet had I consumed this after a drought of the style I would be giving it a 100/100. It’s good for sure.

Packaged October 29th - enjoyed on December 13th, 2025.
Unclear aureolin liquid with a rich magnolia cap. Immense rocky lacing; superior retention.
Potent hop aroma suffused with gooseberry, scallion, guava, and lime soda.
Bright hop flavors dance between tropical, citrus, and herbal flavors. Hints of candied ginger. Mild malt and neutral yeast - modest but lasting bitterness. Fairly dry crackery finish.
Creamy, soft mouthfeel. Refreshing with well concealed ABV.
An excellent collaboration, more than the sum of its parts.

Canned 11/06/25. Into a tulip on 12/8/25. Nice looking beer. Very tight 1 finger of foam of nice duration. Lots of sticky lacing. Light gold color liquid with a touch of chill haze. Smell and taste both dominated by citrus peel+pith with grapefruit dominating. Nice bitterness in line with expectations for a west coast IPA (as written on the can). Not getting much of the classic west coast IPA pine and dankness, though. Others with more discriminating palates may be more successful there. Not so bitter that it requires some food as an accompaniment. Note that there are surrently two listings in BA for a Short-lived series by Madewest with Beachwood, but the one version is about 4 years ago. Not sure how this one compares in terms of flavor profile or grain bill, but this one is tasty.

A new IPA in the series, hops not listed. Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Saint-Martin tulip. Familiar citrus aroma with orange peel in the nose. Taste is grapefruit juice with a hint of orange peel. Serious bitter aftertaste but within the bounds of reason. Overall this is the usual strong and hopped-up west coast IPA. Drinkable but I would not let Beachwood take my daughter on a date. Dated 10/29/25.

Yep - Go West! Young Man! Can you believe this? MW and Beachwood up in this like Tupac and Snoop Dog! I’m talking rawhide! This one is a goodie like my third grade teacher who made me write my ABC’s in cursive on the chalk board after school. Memories... Anyway, this one just hits good and well like Tyson throwing a rage punch while he had gonorrhea
