Gorgeous beer, pale gold with a strong briny haze and a fluffy white head that thinned quickly but laced slightly. Smell was not at all what I expected, really dominated by Belgian yeast characteristics (banana, dark fruit, grassiness, clove) that didn't really jibe with the IPA aspects of citrus and pine. Taste was exactly in line with the aromas in that the first wave was all grass, banana, stale bread, and muddled fruit, with some sharp citrus bite and pithiness on the back-end. Kind of a strong blonde ale mixed with a middle-of-the-road West Cost IPA. Just not a combo that sat well on my palette. Feel is medium-bodied, pillowy, and velvety.
