This was a surprise, didn't know what it was until tasting it. Wow! The flavors meld really well, the pepper finish is very satisfying after cinnamon and chocolate on the tongue. A little sweet but not at all cloying like so many high abv's, and offset by a touch of bitter. Almost no head on my pour, but smooth and pretty creamy regardless. Way to go guys Welcome to Nashville!

one of my favorites we had in here, a big milk stout with cinnamon and chili peppers. i wish we had more of their dark stuff, this one is really exciting and promising. these ingredients, chilies and cinnamon, seem to always end up in beers that also have coffee and chocolate and vanilla and whatever else, usually a barrel too, so they seem to sometimes be lost to that other stuff, its cool to have a beer that showcases them in relative isolation, both so vibrant here, both so compatible with the dark roasty malt and the bitter earthiness that comes with it. the cinnamon is natural and warming, to me very wintery here and enhanced by the milk sugar well, carried on for miles by the sweetness that is here and by all the body, a little bitter too which is cool. tastes like a spiced coffee or something with all the dark grain. mellow but bold. the pepper is not hot but full of flavor, enhanced a bit by the cinnamon, a cool compound complexity there, faint smoke and cooked warmth to it as well, so good with the dark grain too, almost a mole vibe taking place here. tons of body, creamy and heavy feeling, spicy and lingering long enough to almost influence everything else i taste that night, but not harsh ever, not overdone, decadent with the lactose and just really good. maybe a little drier would be better, but i finish this off with nothing but joy in my heart and praise on my lips, this is super good! neat to experience these ingredients this way!
