Canned 03/10/25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a dark yellow, tons of foam is the only thing saving this thing. The color is weirdly nasty. Aroma is heavy on the marshmallow but with a fair amount of juicy hops. It pretty much just smells like a hazy ipa with lactose, nothing insane yet. Why does this flavor exist. The marshmallow infects what would probably be a decent IPA, and completely takes over all the hop flavors. There's some juicy orange and an undercurrent of vegetal bitterness, but the whole thing is destroyed by a crazy milk sweetness from the lactose, the grainy malt flavors, and the cereal and marshmallow flavors. Strangely, the hop flavors come together and interact with the malt and cereal flavors to make a sort of chocolate marshmallow with cereal milk flavor. Feel is nice and smooth, body is low, but the amount of sugar makes this one a sipper.
Overall, Southern Grist usually nails the stupid stuff, which is why I bought this one. Unfortunately, it was far too sweet, and I don't think an IPA base is the best one for a Lucky Charms beer. The rubber band feeling of hoppy bitterness and herbal flavors against such a sweet, vanilla marshmallow flavor is cool in concept but I did not like it at all.
Cool beer, just not for me.

Not an IPA guy, but I was a fan of this one. Fun, unique, different, and actually did taste like lucky charms.

Had Marbits poured from pint can, bottom edge stamped "CANNED ON 03/10/22," into nonic pint.
Pours orange juice hazy with lots of floaties ("Marbits"?) and sediment, and 2-finger creamy, off-white head, with excellent retention, leaving nice Belgian lace down the glass. Aroma of sharp citrus, mild malt, and sweet marshmallow off pour, soon joined by big aromas of lime, guava, and some peach as warms, but it's overwhelmingly sweet marshmallow. Begins with huge marshmallow flavor and "balancing" astringent bitterness, before citrus fruits (lime et al.) join, and lactose adds more smoothness to the body, with a bit of peach showing, all carrying into an oddly bitter but functional mostly marshmallow finish.
Very ambitious and interesting beer, marshmallow sweet and lactose smooth with citrus and tropical fruit, and an effort at a balancing bitterness.

1 PINT can
Served in a nonic pint glass
This beer pours a yellow/orange color and is turbid. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves decent lacing.
It smells like vanilla cream/marshmallows. The smell reminds me of Southern Tier Whipped.
It has a marshmallow flavor. The base beer adds some citrus and tropical fruit notes.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
This is one of those gimmick beers that sounds great. It does capture the essence of cereal marshmallows with a stale marshmallow flavor and all. It practicality it fails to live of the hype that I contrived in my brain. It is an interesting beer that I am not mad to have tried. Once I get over the unreasonable anticipatory standards that I mentally created I enjoyed this beer. It is a solid hazy IPA with cereal marshmallow highlights.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at the Southern Grist Brewing Company east Nashville tap room on March 25, 2018. Brewed with Mosaic and Ekuanot hops and 80,000 cereal marshmallows. Tasty.
