Reminiscent of a favorite summer time frozen treat, this witbier is brewed with coriander, orange peel, lactose, blood orange purée, and vanilla.

Hmmm... a Witbier?
That might be the base, but this comes as a fruit beer to me. And I don’t think that’s unintentional, at all. So, let go at the proclaimed target.
A highly hazy orangish body, with a nice sustaining head with consistent spotty lacing.
Nose hits the target, orange with a sweet creamy (power of suggestion possible) aspect. Vanilla of some sort is present.
Ok, the sweet creamy side (sort of unsurprisingly) doesn’t make it to the taste, but the orange is there! It actually has some tart aspects, between line and grapefruit, a tad more the latter in the flavors that linger. There is vanilla component, but it doesn’t mesh, and has a light medicinal side to it.
A softly carbonated soda feel, there is a tartness to this beer overall. Not in a sour sense, but citrusy. A light coating on the tongue holds a more bitter version of what the “live” beer gives to my palate.

Poured into a snifter. A very hazy golden color with a frothy white head.
Aroma: strong Witbier estery aroma on the pour. Closer inspection revealed sweet orange and heavy vanilla.
Taste: tangy orange up front. Supporting spicy notes, coriander, and vanilla joined in. The finish was back to the citrus.
Feel: heavier than a typical wit, thanks to the lactose. The feel was like a milk stout, but with a slight citrus bite on the end.
Overall: I liked this more than I anticipated. The Wit character was there and supplemented by the juice and lactose. Very enjoyable.
