Hazy yellow. Small white head
Smells coconut and pineapple. As it should.
Taste is all coconut
Finishes a little dry bitter.
Ok beer
Tastes like it says it should I guess I just don’t like beers where the coconut is this heavy handed

2.5 week old can poured into a tumbler.
Pure pineapple juice body with a healthy finger of off-white, effervescent head that dissipates pretty quickly and leaves some spotty lacing. Very pale yellow. Not particularly noteworthy.
As advertised on the nose, with a huge burst of coconut rum and sweet pineapple. Full-on pina colada personality. Digging past the cocktail notes, there's a great deal of grassiness and maybe a little musty white grape, and some additional nondescript tropical fruit aspects. Really hard to get past the true-to-form pina colada characteristics, but its fun, appealing, and comes off as mostly natural (maybe just a small twang of an artificial/medicinal quality), so I'm enjoying it, at least as a one off can. As the beers warms the coconut and pineapple develop a bit of a unique berry "stank" -- very hard to describe. A little bit like warmed juice, which I guess makes sense.
The pina colada effect is less successful on the tongue. The coconut rum is definitely there, but is a little overdone. And unfortunately where a sweet pineapple note might work well it's instead replaced with a sharp, bitter citrus (mostly lemon). There's a lot of starchy grass, and a surprisingly harsh green astringency. There's also a significant burn on the back of the throat, not for boozy heat but from that starchy astringency. Hop and protein residue? Regardless of the source, the gimmick hits a dead end on the tongue. Fun to try, and again what's advertised is definitely what's presented, but this is barely a beer and seems more for shock value than actual regular beer consumption. The burps are pretty fascinating, though!
Feel is thin but soft and silky thanks to whatever is providing the starchy burn. Again, fairly un-noteworthy, and the burn is highly unpleasant.
Like so many envelope-pushing beers, these days, I have no earthly idea how to grade this against the ultra-broad modern world of NE IPAs. As a beer you could argue that it's terrible. But as a blending of two worlds and a gimmick drink, I suppose it's passable.

Can dated 2/07/19 poured into a not a tulip! Pour was The NE style OJ look with an inch of capped white head. Smell was strong pineapple and coconut rum! Taste kinda mirrored the smell but you get the base beer in the back leaving the pina colada taste in the front but not fading right away. Feel was soft and juicy and enjoyable. Overall a delicious variant to the base beer. Cheers
