Jet black pour from the can with a big brown foam head. Smells of burnt caramel, roasted nuts, and roasted milk chocolate malts. Doesn't really hit the turtle flavors, but has very roasted caramel, chocolate, burnt nuts, and roasted malt in a lactose bath. Very bland and not potent. Roasted and sweet in the feel, medium bodied.

L: Pours dark and opaque, not too viscous. Two-finger frothy tan head.
S: Caramel, pecan is present. There is a limited bit of chocolate in there. Some coffee notes. Though the ABV isn't that high, there is a slight booziness that rounds it out very nicely. The warmer it gets the more the chocolate comes out and it almost has the aroma of a chocolate cake.
T: The caramel and salt are up front. Salt isn't overwhelming, but it mitigates the sweetness at the start and finish. There is pecan in there, for sure. It gives it a bit of a dryness on the palate. Coffee is dark chocolate/cocoa near the middle and finish as well. Not super sweet, but very nicely balanced.
F: Smooth. Carbonation is moderate. Fuller body, but not overwhelmingly heavy. Dryness you get from eating roasted pecans. Very nice.
O: Solid and very enjoyable. Sad this is here and gone. Had a couple stouts with pecan recently, and I hope it becomes something common.
