This one is a "blend of imperial oated sweet stouts aged in maple bourbon barrels with vanilla beans, toasted pecans, maple syrup, and a dash of cinnamon."
Opaque in the glass with a modest tan head that lingered for a while. The aroma was a nice mix of pecans, vanilla, bourbon, and chocolate. Not much cinnamon which I appreciated. Taste followed. The cinnamon came through but did not overwhelm the other notes. A really nice toasted pecan flavor throughout. Sweet with prominent maple, but the bourbon cut it just enough. Full bodied with low-medium carbonation. Overall a well constructed and tasty stout that delivered on the intended profile. A bit sweet for those who like the pastries.
