DDH Mixed Greens, Citra edition, canned 12/5/19, poured into Yakima Valley hops glass.
As soon as I crack the can, I can smell the hops. A beautiful hazy golden liquid spews forth and forms a creamy body with a frothy white head.
Aroma is just huge sweaty tropical fruity goodness. Mangoes, pineapple, tangerine, sweet grapefruit and lemons, berries, and slight mint/herb.
Got a little bit of spoilage going on but nothing too bad. I can tell this beer was absolutely huge fresh. Tons of wonderful juicy and dried fruits - grapefruit, papaya, apricot, mango, tangerine, orange, lemon, and persimmon.
Feel is juicy and acidic. Just as it should be. Creamy body. Moderate carbonation. Nearly undetectable heat.
Overall, an incredible beer. This is as good as the stuff in New England. They've mastered it.

Can dated 12/5/2019 poured into a Teku on 1/29/2020, so roughly 8 weeks old.
Pineapple juice body with full haze but no turbidity. Two fingers of creamy, tightly compact, bright white head, that holds up pretty well and provides wonderful sticky lacing down the glass. Nice trickles of tiny bubbles up the side of the glass. Fits the NE IPA bill, and while the coloring isn't particularly noteworthy, the head and lacing are fantastic.
Dank and deep citrus juice for miles on the nose. Pine resin, white wine grapes, peach, mango, and pineapple, as well, but it's the tangerine, grapefruit, and navel orange that really dominate. Big dank, weedy note, as well, which makes for a great combo. It's big but not overly so, and not as nuanced or multi-faceted as many big (i.e., 7-8%+) DDH hazies. But given the smaller ABV and Citra focus, that's to be expected. Biscuity, grassy, with a touch on green onion on the back end as it warms. Quite lovely.
Taste is good but not great, and perhaps two months in the can (likely most of it warm) is showing up. Very juicy and grassy, with mineral and herbal notes along the way. Semi-sweet citrus medley, a little pear and green grape, some crackery malt, a touch of melon, and a prevalent grapefruit pith that falls off quickly into a very mild and dry finish. A little bitter and just barely noticeable sweetness. Wishing there was a little more here, and in particular a little more sweetness to liven up the flavor profile. But it's still tasty, and the burbs provide a really good dankness and candied citrus note.
Feel is very good, especially for a 6% beer. Extremely silky and soft, simultaneously very fluid and substantive. Nice carbonation to liven up the feel on the roof of the mouth. Goes down awfully smooth and easy.
Interestingly the flavor profile was my least favorite thing about the beer, but my overall drinking experience was quite positive. Not sure I've graded many beers that way. But there you go.
