1/22/20, in an Odell Teku.

Really juicy and creamy murky apple sauce color with a creamy cap of 2 fingers, receding to 1/2 finger leaving sheets and webs of lace.

Aroma is far more intense from the can than from the glass, but I get a nice ashy dankness followed by peach sherbet, pineapple, mango, orange sherbet, grapefruit, lemon ice, and lots of peach fruit.

Flavor seems to be empty at first with a little lemon water, but then compounds on the palate and the flavors intensify hardcore. Huge mango sherbet, peach sherbet, grapefruit rind, strawberry yogurt, and lemon.

Feel is creamy, a little watery, with high carbonation and some acidic tones biting the gum line. Mild alcohol heat.

Overall a stellar beer, I think I like the Citra one a little better, but if I lived in Nashville the rotating DDH Greens series would be a constant guest in my fridge.

A: This one pours an opaque bright yellow-orange with a frothy white head. Sticky lacing is left on the sides as the glass becomes less full.

S: Sticky sour diesel nuggets, vegetal, melon and peach.

T: That sour diesel comes through, so so good... Some onion, lemon, melon, passion fruit. Slightly sweet but also sticky and dry. Amazing.

M: Goes down very smoothly. Has a slick mouth feel with a good amount of soft carbonation. Leaves the first few aforementioned flavors on the throat/tongue.

O: The Mixed Greens series always seems to surprise me. The folks at Southern Grist are consistently doing something awesome with this beer while also changing it up every year with the hops. This one in particular was very unique, refreshing, and juicy! Can't wait for next year's.
