12 ounce pour - Tap & Six in Roswell, Georgia.
Appearance: Presented with the twelve ounces in a frosted-style plastic COVID-19 cup, the beer appeared fairly dark, assumably black, in color with a very thin, tanned head.
Smell: I assumed there was some additive. I mean, SG is pretty gimmicky, but the menu made no specifications and the staff had no knowledge of anything added, either. The first sniff, peanut butter. Settling into a social distanced chair, the second sniff revealed Almond Joy.
Taste: Lusciously sweet, dessert-like and nap-inducing. Shredded coconut, flecks of toasted peanuts. Roast, vanilla bean, curdled cream and nougat. It houses some semblance of fruitiness within, a little flourish of cherry-plum. Sugary, soured milk and a shot of candybar liqueur on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-light carbonation. Creamy, velvety, almost oozing mouthfeel.
Overall: Small samples, please and thank you. I have had beers that were rough, overly sweet, overly boozy, yet didn't deliver on the purported flavors. This did, at least.
