Honestly not sure whether this is a wild ale, fruit and field beer, or hell, something else. Categorized it as fruit and field given the incredible emphasis on the fruit purée. Certainly has a wild and sour element, but this one is all about the fruit.

Pours a pretty, cran-grape hue, fully opaque, but not chunky or turbid like I’ve seen a lot of fruit smoothie beers become. Light pink head the recess quickly. Zero lacing and minimal carbonation. You could be easily forgiven for not thinking this is beer. But it is lovely.

Aromas are remarkable. Lemon, currant, blueberry, red grape, juicy pear, With some red wine tannins and white wine bite. Truly unique and really wonderful. Again, hard to tie anything back to “beer” territory, but what it is is very attractive.

Sharp bite of tang, pucker, and underripe fruit up front in the tongue. Then the berry sweetness starts to arrive, but it’s quite subdued and never gets meaningfully sweet. Good use of the lactose. Dark berry medley, pear, lemon and lime, wine grape, and a nice grassy note. Incredible fruity but quite dry. Really nice.

Smooth and slick feel. Very juice like. Zero heat.

This might be my favorite sour/wild beer these guys have produced to date, and they produce a LOT of them. Well done.
