16 oz can, dated 9/9/20, into EBC Teku.
Pours a liquid black void and has a creamy beige head of 2 fingers, receding slowly and leaving very sparse lacing.
Man, they do these coffee beers good. The aroma is absolutely swollen with peppery, bold coffee and sweet chewy caramel filling from a chocolate truffle. There is a bit of lactose and vanilla here as well.
Flavor brings peppery coffee forward, followed by caramel, salt, cinnamon, basil/hops, more peppery coffee, mocha latte, and then more pepper on the finish. It's a little rough, with that swagger of peppered coffee.
Feel is thin but not as thin as their other dark beers have been. It is very slick, oily, roasty, with some moderate heat this time, finishing on some resin and roasted dryness. Some quiet carbonation throughout. This manages to keep some creaminess aboard which makes it feel not as thin.
Overall, a fair to good coffee stout, not one I'd be in a rush to return to however. It's very coffee-heavy and will give you coffee breath. It's personally not my bag though. For the price it is kinda shitty. Southern Grist has done better.
Price paid : $16.99 / 4 pack
Would buy again : nah

Pours black but so has every stout I have had at 4am lol. Small one finger khaki head falls to ringed scum only spotty lace.
Aroma is wow loads of coffee, good chocolate notes and a good dose of vanilla light cream from the lactose only faint nutty hints. Aptly named a good sweet coffee stout.
Taste is roasted malts, lots of chocolate not as much coffee as the nose lead me to believe. Sweet loads of lactose mixing with the coco nibs lighter nuttiness and probably wouldn't noticed the sea salt if it wasn't on the can. Still a pretty descent stout even though the nose was excellent.
Mouthfeel is bid medium with smooth carbonation.
Overall not bad nice name around a good little stout.
