16 oz can, canned on 1/6/21, into Parish stemware.
Pours a fuzzy mango flesh color, with a fuzzy head of 1 finger, receding to a stable ring. Spots of lacing remain.
Aroma is super realistic frozen strawberries, fresh mangoes, and blueberries. Maybe a hint of passion fruit.
Flavor is an icy, thawing fruit bowl. Delicious. There are no adjuncts like lactose or vanilla in this beer, just the fruit, so it's very straight forward. But it's a perfect mix. Strawberries are primary, followed by kiwi, mango, passion fruit, and some light pear or apricot on the finish. These Southern Grist sours are always so enjoyable.
Feel is light and crisp, with a bit of pucker and fruity acidity biting the sides of the cheeks. No heat.
Overall, can't say I'm surprised, but this is another knock-out from Southern Grist. I haven't encountered a bad sour from them yet - only a weird one (the vanilla truffle strawberry). Solid as always, you won't regret a 4 pack. It's fantastic.
Price paid : $4.99 / can @ Red's
Would buy again : yup
