Notes from tasting at brewery on 3/12/21.
Dark brown, leading into black, with a beige fingernail of head.
Aroma of melted chocolate and slight dried cookie dough, very sugary and sweet on the nose.
Flavor follows through with a ton of sugar; too sweet for me, with lots of overly sweet chocolate and slight cookie dough. A bit of alcohol is palatable in this edition as well. I like the flavor but it is too sugary sweet.
Feel is thin, as usual for SG stouts, I really wish they'd thicken 'em up. Alcohol heat is palatable but mild-moderate. Slick. Moderate carbonation. Slick finish.
Overall, not something I bought a crowler or can of to-go. It was too sweet for my palate but I'm sure it would please others.
