A: Pours an opaque yet still clear dark purplish red in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate garnet red + ruby red + purple + burgundy colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy fizzy foamy pale pink head that quickly reduces to a medium sized patch of very slightly mottled very thin film covering approximately 30% of the surface of the beer and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy cherry + cranberry + black currant over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with moderate amounts of tart lemon citrus lacto and a light amount of lactose sweetness. Light aromas of peanut butter.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly sour wheat malts with a light amount of lactose sweetness and moderate amounts of lacto tart lemon citrus. That is followed by light flavors of peanut butter. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of tart/almost sour cherry + cranberry + black currant juices. Overall there is a moderate amount of lingering acidic tartness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied width moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of acidic prickliness.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a nicely acidic + tart + prickly mouthfeel (quite refreshing on a very warm summer evening). Enjoyable with very nice tart/sour cherry + cranberry + black currant flavors and aromas though the peanut butter was a little more subtle than I was expecting/hoping for…
