16 oz can, 5/3/21, into North Coast tulip.
Listening to American Football (1999).
Pours a grapefruit juice color with a rapidly diminishing finger of head to nothing. Very hazy. Grapefruit-orange juice.
Aroma of what I'd call a sharp mango milkshake. Peaches and cream (very slight cottage cheese, not offensive). Good. From the glass, it's pure marshmallow and orange muffin.
Flavor is tasty and juicy. It's not a Hill. I think they use a different sour character for those. This is more toned down in fruit but the lactose and sour character is still huge. Mango front and center, but not tropical in any way. Slurpy peach. Acidity of an orange. It's soft, it's sweet, and it lays on the palate like a citrus blanket.
Feel is acidic and juicy as all get-out, with a slight creaminess behind it, and a zing-y urgency to it. No heat anywhere here.
Overall, highly enjoyable. Debating whether I should order another 4 pack since this one is still available. This was really good, but not making me go "oh shit" like virtually every Hill beer. It's just a calm, soft, sweet mango peach sour. Hints of mild cream and cottage cheese (it's clean). Thoroughly enjoyable.
