Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Smells of banana and some sweet lactose. Tastes of fresh banana with lactose and some spice. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Would never have tried it if it were not for the Extreme Beer Box.
Pours like a thick gooey smoothie. Smells of pineapples and bananas. Pours with little to no head. Very mild carbonation.Would have loved to have enjoyed sitting at the beach. It is worth a try.

I know nothing about these guys, but thanks to BA extreme beer box, I got to try this beer. Nine times out of ten, experimental, gimmick beers like this are a complete flop. Not this one.

The beer pours a hazy, opaque bright yellow color with good head retention and considerable lacing (if that's what you want to call the slime adhering to my glass). The nose is attractive, showcasing considerable pineapple, coconut, brown sugar and light cinnamon. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, but with some light sour in the finish. The beer comes off as fairly sweet, with a huge soft mouthfeel of pineapple, banana and coconut. The finish just goes on and on and on in this beer. Alcohol is undetectable, but that's no real surprise, given the 4% abv.

This is a fascinating beer, and really treads the line between beer and a beer based alcoholic beverage (like a beer cooler). Regardless, whatever you want to call it, this a delicious, easy to appreciate beverage from southern grist.

16 ounce can from the 2022 Extreme Beer Box, in an oversized snifter glass.

Looks like a melted sno-cone, banana colored, thick and slushy. No head, slush and lots of sticky goo.

Aromas of sweet pineapple, coconut, banana, and sour citrus.

Sweet pineapple, toasted coconut, sour citrus flavors. White grape juice. Banana flavor finish.

More tart than sour due to its sweet side. Smoothie like, thick and creamy. Slushy and lasting feel.

At 4% abv it’s quite extreme. So much that I question whether it qualifies as a “beer”. No matter, it’s good on its own.

A: Pours an opaque murky thick sludgy milky pale banana yellow (not peel but actual banana) in color with light amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass along with light to moderate pale yellow + lemon yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of sweet banana + coconut + pineapple over the top of very light aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with a moderate amount of sugary sweetness and a light amount of tart lemon citrus lacto.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of slightly sour wheat malts with a moderate amount of sugary sweetness and a light amount of tart lemon citrus lacto. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of slightly tart and very sweet tropical/pineapple + coconut + banana. Sweet tropical flavors linger well through the finish.

M: Medium to full bodied with minimal amounts of carbonation. Thick and chewy, not dissimilar to a smoothie.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing on a fairly warm spring evening with well hidden alcohol and a thick chewy smoothie mouthfeel. Enjoyable with lots of tropical fruit flavors and aromas that evokes a feeling of being at a tropical beach. Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one.

#3, chosen by RNG and poured into a tulip.

L: Poured bubbly and thick with not too much of a white head. To me, it looks like a slushy cocktail. Like the kind of margaritas you get from the machine at a hole in the wall Mexican joint. The melty, slushie quality is there. Except it's neon yellow like Big Bird's toxic waste.

S: It smells like a colada. A mix of banana, pineapple, and coconut, accurate to description.

T: The pineapple is predominant with plenty of coconut. The banana is more subdued... but, of course, it's hard to expect banana to have much presence over the tart pineapple. Relatively sweet at first, but maybe a tall can is too much for one person. Still, it's tasty.

F: Quite smooth and creamy. Tart, full, and lingering.

Yeah, it's a cocktail. If you like fruity cocktails, you will probably enjoy this. If you dislike beer, you might like this. Just imagine a warm beach.

Extreme Beer selection and one of the best in the box. You could pour this on ice and swear you were drinking a pina colada, from the thick and creamy pour, to the heavy smell of pineapple and banana, to the sweet, sweet taste of a beach party drink. Not something we'd drink every day but Great Notion nailed the novelty quite well. If you're looking for a beer this might not be for you as there's little to no beer resemblance.

Part of the Awesome ‘Extreme Beer Box’ - yeah, this is blurring the lines right here.,. maybe the best surprise of the set. And - is this really a Beer?!? There’s a new run of ‘beers’ trying to be ‘cocktails’, and this flavor bomb is certainly on point!
My wife added a 2 ounce horn of Flor de Caña rum from her native Nicaragua. I slid in a cocktail umbrella for her - and she sipped with glee as I squeezedp every last drop from the can into my snifter. After the initial geekery tastery, we manipulated the beer into its Secret Identity - Super Colada.
Really really nice effort.

Pours thick like a smoothie, including a froth that settles on tap. Smells like fresh banana and coconut, which does translate to the taste. Flavors are tart, fruity, and a bit of rum-like sugar. Consistency is alot like a rum smoothie. This is not a beer I'd have with any regularity, but it hit the mark for the concept, and my wife (not a beer drinker) loved it.

Don't listen to me on this one. As the can and others have said, it tastes like a banana colada, which is something I don't drink (banana is my kryptonite)
Pours thick yellow with only some semblance of a very thing white head. Aroma is banana and mild vanilla, smells good. Taste is flat out banana colada: banana, sweet and cream. Feel is creamy with a fairly sharp bite at the end of each sip. Not sure where that sharpness is coming from, probably the pineapple. Overall, it's a banana colada, if you like that, you'll like this.

Poured a dense, cloudy yellow body with minimal head and decent lace. Straight up banana and slight coconut aroma. Smooth, very smooth, thicker body, has a banana and coconut sweetness and reminded me of a fruity mixed drink.

It's more like a frozen rum drink than a beer. As a frozen drink, it's the best I've ever had. A very nice blend of favors with nothing too strong. A smooth creamy banana blend with a good smell. The only drawback was the look, it looks like a melted frozen drink.
