Straight up exactly what the label describes. Sweet and sour but with a luscious flavor. Needs a scoop of vanilla to top this off to make it a perfect dessert.

With flavors meant for a casserole dish but built for a beer glass, Southern Grist looks their southern part with raspberries, blueberries and pastry crust. All placed into a sour ale and their smoothie sour takes a Dixie turn.

Deep and purplish mauve, Raspberry Blueberry Cobbler builds a racy and spritzy froth ahead of shedding a scent of pie filling, berries, jam, wine and cider. Sweet in it upstart, the flavors of jam and glaze come with that strong fruity flavor as well as cereal, taffy and shortcake.

But with a turn to a crumble of graham cracker and granola, the taste of pie crust wraps around the sultry fruit flavors in anticipation of the sourness to come. A brisk acidity of white wine, apple cider, lime and lemon create a tart underpinning that assists the fruit and to offer a sense of refreshment.

Creamy, tart and full for sour ale, the sour cobbler beer finishes moderately sour and with a fruity sweetness that lingers briefly into the next sip. What'ya know, you can have your cobbler and drink it too.
