In a race to beat the heat, Southern Grist just to the conclusion that your snow cone is going to melt anyway and just puts their Sno-Cone inspired sour ale to the test.

Pouring with the viscosity of puddin', even after gently rolling the can before pouring, there was still half the solids stuck to the bottom of the can. Settling in the glass like wet sand, the dense, matte, taupe beer starts to zing with the scent of banana, cream, strawberry and vanilla. Creamy, sweet and simply thick, the heavy cream, cake batter and cereal riddled beer should be served with a spoon.

A mild mannered tartness pulls through the density and highlights the fruit's more tangy properties as the beer continues to sip like a smoothie. Less like a melted snow cone and more like cake batter, the beer is heavy, rich and fruity with the taste of banana split and a tart balance on the late palate.

Full, thick, cloying and generally difficult to get down the hatch, the Melted Sno Cone finishes chewy and tangy with a medium-short aftertaste of fruit remnants and condensed milk. It's a fun and tasty non-beer tasting beer.
