Dated 11/12/24, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a thick yellowish orange with a mound of white foam. Very very hazy, just absorbing all light that touches it. Aroma is orange juice and mango, with a little dankness on the end, and some sweetness on the nose. Flavor is really great stuff. Much more dank that I initially thought, with some clementine-esque sweetness and a lot of overripe mango. It's light on the bitterness but really not that sweet, and finishes slightly coating and mildly bitter. Feel is lovely. The thickness evident from the pour translates to a very smooth, soft mouthfeel that's perfect to show off the hop flavors.
Southern Grist can be hit or miss with IPAs, but this one is great. Exactly what I needed after a lot of really mid-tier local IPAs and too-dark nonsense. Very smooth and tasty on a cold winter day
