16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, guava, caramel and piney notes. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bite.

Dated 03/20/25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a murky, thick orange with good foam and solid retention. Nose is pineapple and papaya, very juicy, quite smooth as well; no bitterness or dankness to be found. Flavor is a little more green than the nose suggests but otherwise a huge burst of tropical fruit with a little vegetal matter and good oat sweetness on the back end. Finish is sweet and creamy, quite sticky, but not overly sweet. A little alcohol presence on this one, but not awful. Body is medium-high.
Nice fresh DIPA from Southern Grist that does the thing they're known for in a fun way. I think they have the only truly juicy, high ABV IPAs worth drinking in Nashville outside of when Barrique will do it or Living Waters nails one, but they're consistently putting out interesting juice bombs without adjuncts, lactose, or anything crazy. Just good, fresh hops and solid brewing.
