Canned 03/31/25, into a wide wine glass.

Pours a thick, hazy orange, with a ton of foam. Very nice appearance for a hazy IPA. Aroma is straight mango, nothing else besides juicy, sweet fruit. Flavor follows the nose quite well; this is a fruit bomb with some hints of green dankness that keep it from being too sweet. There's a lot of peach, mango, and papaya here, as typical of Southern Grist, and it feels distinctly fresh. I've never had the base Teal, but from what I've drank from them and the hop bill, this beer feels very much at home in their lineup. Mouthfeel is great, very smooth and creamy. Body is full, showing off a lot of flavor for such a low ABV.

Overall, this beer feels like a great example of what Southern Grist is all about. It's nicely juicy without being too sweet or artificial, and the flavors are deep and complex at a very drinkable ABV. I really like this one, and I think I have to try the base beer.
