On tap at Southern Grist Brewing in Nashville, TN.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like maple, milk chocolate, oak, rum, toffee, brown sugar, and roasted malt.

This is very pastry dominant, but the oak rum barrels do help add a nice bit of spicy oak and char that help balance this, slightly. The nuttiness is nice too, but the maple and toffee definitely ramp up the pastry sweetness a touch.

This is thick, creamy, and not that boozy for the higher ABV – it’s actually pretty drinkable.

A small amount of this is just perfect – it’s decadent and well made.
