Dated 06/30/25, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a murky dark yellow, some white foam, lots of lacing. Very dark and thick. Aroma is lime zest, a little white grape, and a lot of juicy cantaloupe and honeydew. Very very melon forward and fruity. Flavor follows nose with a powerful kick of stone fruit and melon, but low sweetness with a grassy kick and a hefty hit of bitterness on the back end. Mouthfeel is really good, the classic Southern Grist thick creaminess, with medium-high body and a long, complex finish that introduces some sweet malt flavors and milky sweetness on the very end.
Overall really good and super hoppy if you like the NZ melon and stone fruit flavors. Not as sweet as I expected, actually rather bitter, but very juicy still. If you told me this was Other Half, I'd believe you.
