Enjoyed this fine ale from the growler via the brewery in a snifter.
Pouring a nice golden color with a nice head of white foam that subsides
to a thin ring with subtle light lacing, this fine saison offers a nice nose
light yeasty breaded notes, soft phenol yeast, and sweet candy sugars.
Flavors follow the nose more in the golden than the saison category
with sweet candy sugars touched by light breaded malts and light
yeasty notes with a hint of cracker and subtle herbal hops. Nice
mouth feel; medium light carbonation, medium body, and a sweet
malty finish with a touch of subtle whisper thin hop notes.
Overall---a nice saison that may be more in the vein of a Belgian
golden but still a solid little brew.
Cheers
