Picked this up after ending the day at Pure Project after a trip to Mikkeller SD. Had heard about Pure Project and had been on their email list, but this was the first time having some of their hazy stuff. First one I tried was Murklands with Mosaic and knew I’d be taking home a growler of it later. Mosaic is my favorite hop and this was super solid, giving it a 4.25 on Untappd. Looking forward to reviewing it.
Poured a pale hazy color with three fingers of rocky white head. Some slow moving bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent spotty foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled those huge Mosaic hops up front. Also got Citra, passion fruit, fruit punch, pineapple, mango, floral, guava, papaya, blueberry, mixed berry and lime zest. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste followed the nose. Got Mosaic up front, followed by some dry-hopped Citra. Also pineapple, mango, guava, papaya, passion fruit, fruit punch, blueberry, bitter citrus rind, floral and mixed berry. There’s an unknown spice late, but could not single it out. Tastes so much like an IPA. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Dry, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was just a fantastic beer. New England Style (as I’ve chosen to lump all these in) or American Pale Ale, just an excellent effort. (Overall - 4.25)
