Had really dug all my trips to Pure Project and the few times I’d had it elsewhere. Was excited to try this, reading that it was a mix of Vic Secret and Mosaic. Untappd description read, “Powerful hop aromas from the Australian-grown Vic Secret deliver flavors of pineapple and candied fruit, while US-grown Mosaic backs it up with loads of mango, berry, and tropical fruit notes. #embracethemurk” I would certainly try.
Was kind of dark at Hoffer’s, but poured a straw-to-pale hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Just a few bubbles coming up from the bottom. World-class lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Mosaic, mixed berry, trash, grass, bubblegum, orange blossom, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and passion fruit. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was not quite as good as the nose. Got trashy Mosaic, buttered sourdough bread, pineapple, grapefruit, apricot, peach blossom and grass. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, juicy finish. (Feel - 3.75)
A very good New England Style beer. Would have it again, but Pure Project definitely has better beers than this. (Overall - 3.75)
