Together with our Berkeley-based friends at Fieldwork Brewing, we put our collective knowledge of brewing dank, murky, hoppy beers together and came up with this bear of a brew. The addition of Simcoe, Citra, Centennial, and Southern Cross hops creates notes of tangerine, papaya, mango, and dank, with a ridiculously smooth finish.

Hazy white grapefruit. Big melon hop aroma and flavor with a good bit of funky hop character. Juicy and fairly tropical. Good balance with little to no bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly creamy.

Had Sonny pick me up a can of this and Murkeley on a recent trip to Pure Project in Balboa Park. Their official release description called it “Together with our Berkeley-based friends at Fieldwork Brewing, we put our collective knowledge of brewing dank, murky, hoppy beers together and came up with this bear of a brew. The addition of Simcoe, Citra, Centennial, and Southern Cross hops creates notes of tangerine, papaya, mango, and dank, with a ridiculously smooth finish.”
Poured a medium yellow murky color with three fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Citra, Simcoe, papaya, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, mango, guava, pine and lime. Even better out of the can with the addition of pineapple and maybe stone fruit. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste followed the nose. Got Citra, Simcoe, papaya, grapefruit, tangerine, orange, mango, guava, Centennial, pine, lime, pear, hints of pineapple, white grape and black pepper. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth, slightly creamy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just a really good beer. Excellent. (Overall - 4.25)
