Murky Double IPA w/ Motueka, Southern Cross & Citra Hops
This murky double IPA is nothing short of majestic, like a cloudy mountain peak. Bursting with overripe pineapple and fuzzy peach skins, this beer showcases a gorgeous rocky head and pillowy, almost floating on clouds body. Very good overall. Something going on in there I can't pick out. Not in a bad way. An interesting beer. "Murky" is a good word for it. Grew on me with every sip. A drinkable double that could lead to trouble. Certainly worth a go if you come across it.

Snuck over to the new Pure Project location in Balboa Park for a flight, pint and a crowler to go. Really liked this one as a taster in the flight, giving it a 4.25 on Untappd and writing, “Calls for Motueka, Southern Cross & Citra. Wow. This is excellent.”
Poured a golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. A few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled stone fruit, orange, peach, mango, pineapple, pine needle, Citra and Motueka. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste followed the nose. Got Citra, Motueka, stone fruit, peach, orange, mango, tangerine, pineapple and pine needle. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Another excellent Pure Project beer. (Overall - 4.25)
