Loved this the one time I had it on July 20, 2019, giving it a 4.50 on Untappd and writing, “I’m a sucker for raspberry beer but mamma mia this is world-class. All of the Raspberry Magic please.” Untappd description read, “Sour Double IPA with raspberries and milk sugar.” Hoping it’s as good as I remember it.
Poured a copper-to-reddish murky color with three fingers of off-white frothy head. Tons of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at differing speeds. Bad watery lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled raspberry, raspberry puree, raspberry jam, mixed berry, vanilla, sugary milk, floral and hints of dank marijuana. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was much better than the nose. Raspberry, raspberry puree, raspberry jam, mixed berry, vanilla, lactose, sugary milk, floral, Mosaic and rose blossom. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Just a terrific sour IPA. Wasn’t a fan of sour IPAs until I had a few from Pure Project. Just so damn good. (Overall - 4.50)
