Collaboration with Homage Brewing.
Murky double IPA with Strata and Cashmere hops.
We teamed up with our friends from Homage Brewing to deliver a new murky double IPA which celebrates the fall season’s shorter days and longer nights. Additions of 2019 harvest Strata hops that we got farm-direct via Indie Hops from Oregon, alongside Cashmere hops from Mill 95 Farm in Idaho, work together to exude notes of candied apricots, sweet citrus, and subtle pine. Each sip of Seasons of Change is like jumping into a pile of hops.

Misc.: Quick review
Snuck over from work for San Diego Beer Week for a special of a pour up to $7.50 and a Pure Project 16-oz. brandy snifter glass for $10. Throw in my 20 percent off for the AHA card and it was a cool $8. Picked this ($6.50 for 10-oz.) over a few other $7.50 options for 16-oz., so probably didn’t get enough value. First gave a taster of this a 4.25 on Untappd on Nov. 1, 2019, writing, “Strata for the win. Excellent. #SDBW.” That is probably why I picked this over some others.
Poured a medium yellow-to-gold murky color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. No bubbles that I could see. World-class lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Strata, which I remember really getting it and liking it the last taster I had. Also passion fruit, guava, mango peel, mixed berry, dank, leaf, melon and some earthy malt. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted better than the smell. Got Strata, passion fruit, guava, lime, bitter mango rind, mixed berry, lemon zest, leaf, peach skin and earthy malt late. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Not quite as good as I remembered it from the other day, but still outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
