Collaboration with WeldWerks Brewing Co.
What happens when two independent breweries, widely celebrated for their juicy IPAs, come together to make a lovechild? Precedented is born. This fresh-from-the-cradle collaboration with our friends at WeldWerks blends bouquets of Riwaka, Strata, and Mosaic hops to yield aromas of fresh blueberry and guava. Smooth finishes of stone fruit and citrus will leave you thrilled with our latest precedent and eagerly awaiting the next creation.

Grabbed a 4-pack of this and a pilsner on a recent trip to Pure Project. Was looking forward to a collab between two of my favorite breweries. The website release called for “What happens when two independent breweries, widely celebrated for their juicy IPAs, come together to make a lovechild? Precedented is born. Poured a light-to-medium golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. A few bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled pretty damn terrific from the first whiff. Lots of Mosaic and Strata coming through. Also stone fruit, dank weed, pine, mango rind, guava, grapefruit, citrus zest, blueberry and grass. Almost as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose but still at least excellent. Not the same hops but reminded me somewhat of original Alpine Duet. Got Mosaic, Strata, dank weed, pine, stone fruit, mango rind, guava, grapefruit, citrus zest, blueberry and grass. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.50)
This was a great beer. Almost more like a mixture of East Coast and West Coast. Probably underrated, but excellent at least. (Overall - 4.50)
