For those in search of a light but harmoniously hoppy brew, we give you In Search of Balance. This unfiltered pilsner is built on German Weyermann Barke Pilsner malt and dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and Wai-iti hops from New Zealand. Essences of honeydew, white tea, coconut, and lemongrass shine through an unfiltered straw color and a cracker malt backbone. Its dry finish will leave you perfectly satisfied… but we can’t promise you won’t want more!

Misc.: Split 4-pack with Sonny; Canned on Feb. 23, 2021
Grabbed a 4-pack of this and a hazy DIPA on a recent trip to Pure Project. Was more excited for this one which was described for their release on their website as “For those in search of a light but harmoniously hoppy brew, we give you In Search of Balance. Poured a clear straw color with three fingers of rocky-to-white off-white-to-white head. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled black pepper, lemongrass, floral, Nelson, white grape, lime, tea, herbal, honeydew melon, white cracker, hints of coconut and sourdough bread. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Got black pepper, bitter lemon, lime, grass, tea, herbal, Nelson, white grape, coconut, white cracker, sourdough bread and honeydew melon. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall. Not quite as good as I hoped, but that’s saying something when I still think it’s outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
