Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. brandy snifter glass
Price: $4.60 (20 pct. off $22 for a 4-pack because of AHA card)
From: Pure Project Balboa Park in Balboa Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Oct. 7, 2021
Consumed: Oct. 7, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Aug. 17, 2021; Split 4-pack with Sonny and Kevin
Ended up picking up four 4-packs of North Park beer and Pure Project beer, splitting them with Sonny and Kevin. Not that happy about the Aug. 17 COD but still was under my 60-day rule, just not within the 30 days like I like it. Pure Project’s website called it “Let your taste buds wander through verdant jungles with our new island-inspired creation. Poured a medium golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of different bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled big Sabro, floral, rose blossom, coconut, cedar, vanilla, Mosaic, guava, Cashmere, herbal, lemon, menthol and mango. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. Damn. Really liked this. Got Sabro, floral, rose blossom, guava, kiwi, coconut, vanilla, cedar, pineapple, Cashmere, herbal, lemon, lime, menthol, mango and Mosaic. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)
About as good as I could have hoped and I may have slightly underrated it. (Overall - 4.50)
