Esoteric Knowledge is our newest murky double IPA. This beer is built on a carefully selected combination of ingredients that complement each other delightfully..something that can be universally understood and enjoyed (despite the esoteric name!). It's crafted with a blend of grains including 2-row, malted oats, flaked oats and unmalted wheat; our signature murky IPA yeast strain; and Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Mosaic hops. The result is an incredibly juicy brew with aromas of clementine, pineapple and pink guava that give way to flavors of mango, lime, apricot, and dank.

Went to Pure Project for a 4-pack of this and Aether Flow. Pure Project’s website called it “Esoteric Knowledge is our newest murky double IPA. Named in honor of our brew team and their extensive beer knowledge, this beer is built on a carefully selected combination of ingredients that complement each other delightfully. It’s crafted with a blend of grains including 2-row, malted oats, flaked oats and unmalted wheat; our signature murky IPA yeast strain; and Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Mosaic hops. The result is an incredibly juicy brew with aromas of clementine, pineapple and pink guava that give way to flavors of mango, lime, apricot, and dank.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see some bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Almost perfect foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Mosaic and Nelson jumped out on the nose with lesser Citra. Also floral, orange rind, melon, grapefruit, guava, mango, pineapple, apricot and peach. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose. More Citra than the nose too. In order got Nelson, Mosaic, orange juice, guava, pineapple, melon, grapefruit, Citra, apricot, peach, lime, lemon, dish soap and citrus pulp. Pretty smooth for 8.4 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Another outstanding offering from Pure Project. (Overall - 4.00)
