A beer created to showcase the terroir of Idaho, this west coast double IPA collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops is extra pale in color with a light hop haze. The combination of Idaho 7® from Jackson Hop Farm and Columbus Cryo® from HopLand together create aromas of grapefruit zest, cantaloupe, magnolia, and spruce tips. Dry with a fine carbonation, the flavors of pineapple, grapefruit and peppercorn will leave you pining (ha) for Idaho.

Had Sonny pick me up a can of this and Murkeley on a recent trip to Pure Project in Balboa Park. Their official release description called it “A beer created to showcase the terroir of Idaho, this west coast double IPA collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops is extra pale in color with a light hop haze. Poured a medium yellow semi-clear color with three fingers of frothy white head. Plenty of slow-moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect foamy spiderweb lacing. Perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled dank pine, caramel, cantaloupe, melon, lemon, Sprite, tea, Idaho 7, grapefruit, pineapple and lingering ashtray or cigarette butt for some reason. Much better out of the can and spicier. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got dank resin (almost ashtray), pine, caramel, peppery spice, cantaloupe, melon, Idaho 7, lemon, Sprite, tea, herbal, bitter grapefruit peel and pineapple. Tasted way more boozier than 8.3 pct. ABV, most like a TIPA (10 pct.). (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was a very interesting beer. Still really liked it. Very good-to-outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
